Attleboro Police Honor Guard Takes First Place
ATTLEBORO- The Attleboro Police Department Honor Guard team took first place in the Overall Drill competition during Sunday's National Police Officers Parade at Aquidneck Island. The team also took second place in the Precision Drill and Ceremony competition, losing out to Hackensack, New Jersey Police Honor Guard.
The Attleboro team, comprised of City police officers, some with military experience, has been training long and hard for this competition and their dedication showed during this weekend's parade, according to members of the unit. The annual parade, that concludes in Newport,RI, was attended by over 100 honor guards from across the nation.
