ATTLEBORO- On a spectacular Tuesday morning hundreds, of firefighters and civilians alike, turned out to mourn active Attleboro Firefighter Stephen Mayer who passed away last Wednesday from job related cancer.
Firefighter Mayer's procession was led by firefighters and the Rhode Island Pipes and Drum Corp. to St John's Church on North Main Street for a funeral mass with full Department Honors. The procession then proceeded by foot to Fire Department Headquarters on Union Street for a Last Alarm ceremony.

KUDOS to Attleboro Citywide News for it's coverage of Firefighter Mayer's funeral. It was obviously more important an issue to ACN than to other local media outlets.
