ATTLEBORO- A local metals finishing plant was struck by fire just after 9:00pm Sunday evening. The 2 alarm blaze caused heavy damage to a cleaning room located in the rear of the building.
First arriving fire companies responding to a automatic box alarm from the company found a heavy fire condition at the rear of the building and quickly struck a second alarm bring the rest of the City's on duty fire crews. Mutual aid from Pawtucket and North Attleboro responded to the scene and for coverage.
The cause of the fire is unknown butthe heavy fire conditions in the rear of the 200x50 foot building did cause a portion of the building's roof to collapse. ACN will update the story as information becomes available. Photos by Jim Roach.
