SEEKONK- A single family home in the North End was damaged by fire resulting from a lightning strike on Thursday July 2. The fire was reported shortly after 8am during a round of very violent thunderstorms. The house, located at 12 Sims Ave., sustained damage to the basement area.
Fire crews from Attleboro and Pawtucket assisted Seekonk firefighters at the scene. There were no injuries reported from the blaze. Photos courtesy of Shaun Whalen.
