LINCOLN,RI- A fast moving fire just after 5:00am today, in the Fairlawn section of town, took the life of a 7 year old boy. Fire crews from Saylesville reported heavy fire conditions on arrival from the Cape style house with reports of occupants trapped. It was also reported that other residents of the home saved themselves by jumping from the second floor.
The fire, which took place at 3 Earl Street, took over an hour to bring under control after firefighters were order out of the building due to deteriorating conditions and water problems in the area.
